Unlocking Sports Performance: Advanced Fascial Assessments and Corrections
Elevate Sports Performance with Fascial Mastery. In this 2-day seminar, advanced sports therapists
will learn to assess and correct fascial dysfunctions that hinder athletic performance.
Day 1 focuses on understanding the Deep Front Fascial Line and its impact on breathing, posture, and
movement. Assess the T8 Triad and analyze gait mechanics through the lens of fascial chains.
On Day 2, put theory into practice with manual therapy techniques for correcting imbalances
across the body’s key fascial lines, and explore pre-event assessments and meridian-based
corrections to help athletes achieve peak performance.
Day 1: Breathing, Posture, and Performance Foundations
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM The Deep Front Fascial Line: The Key to Optimal Breathing,
Posture, and Performance
- The Breath-Posture-Movement Connection
- Understand how anatomical asymmetries of the trunk and respiratory system play a key role in performance, movement and athletic injuries.
- The T8 Triad: Diaphragm, Psoas, and Quadratus Lumborum
- Examine the relationship between the T8 vertebra, diaphragm, psoas, and quadratus lumborum.
- Learn how this interplay affects gait and overall movement.
- Assessing Breathing: The 5 Key Screening Tests for Breathing Mechanics
- Posture Analysis: The 7-Point Screen. Analyze three major postural points and four key assessments of the trunk to understand their implications for breathing, movement and performance.
- Assessing the Ability to Move from Center: Are you centrated?
- Learn how to screen athletes for centration of the pelvis, hips, shoulders, and ankles in all three planes. Understand how proper centration drives performance and prevents injuries.
10:30 -10:45 Break
10:45 -12:00 PM Integrated Manual Therapy for Breathing & Posture Dysfunction
Discover manual therapy techniques and exercises to quickly correct faulty breathing, posture,
movement patterns.
12-1:00 Lunch
1:00-2:00- Gait Mechanics: What are the Key Events for each Plane?
- Learn the “key events” in gait mechanics that occur in each plane of movement and how it impacts performance if missing and contributes to injuries
- Understand how to sequencing based on the planes of motion for more optimal treatment corrections.
2:00-3:00-Assessing The Extrinsic Fascial Chains for posture, gait, & performance
Explore the Extrinsic Fascial Chains—Superficial Front Line, Superficial Back Line, Lateral
Line, Longitudinal Fascial Line, Anterior Oblique Line, and Posterior Oblique Line
- Discover the key muscles and role of each fascial chain as it relates to gait and posture
- Assess postural dysfunctions and how they manifest in each fascial line, learning to identify compensations and imbalances.
- Learn 4 dynamic movement tests to evaluate how fascial chains load, transfer, and release energy in motion
Day 2: Practical Applications and Advanced Techniques
8-9:00 Review
9-12:00 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Treating & Correcting Fascial Chain Dysfunction
Apply integrated manual therapy techniques to treat dysfunctions in the Superficial
Front, Superficial Back, Lateral Lines, Longitdinal AOS & POS fascial chains.
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Lunch Break
Enjoy a meal and continue discussions with fellow attendees.
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Pre-Event Assessments: Screening the Weak Link
Learn how to perform pre-event assessments for runners, jumpers, and throwers. Screen for
weaknesses and assess their ability to load, lock in the transition zone, and unload effectively.
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Powering Up: Key Switches for Gait with Meridian Acupuncture Points
Explore the 6 key switches for optimizing gait using meridian acupuncture points. Learn how to
integrate these points into pre-event routines for immediate improved performance.
